Art in the Garden – Art Garden Hotels 2026

As part of Art Garden Hotels 2026, we are presenting selected works by Karin Hofer at the FloraAlpina lake , and seminar hotel.

Starting in April, the artworks invite you to take a stroll through our garden—between the lake, nature, and unique perspectives.

Artist Karin Hofer

Swiss artist Karin Hofer lives and works on Lake Zurich. She is best known for her expressive wooden sculptures. Using a chainsaw, she carves figures from solid tree trunks that convey movement, tranquility, and human emotions.

Her works are often created from a single piece of wood and develop step by step from the material. Karin Hofer finds inspiration in nature, in people, and in the quiet exploration of form and space.

The sculptures invite visitors to pause, take a closer look, and experience the special effect of wood as a living material.
